The African Business Roundtable (ABR) has been constituted as part of the National effort to achieve the objectives contained in Resolution A/Res/68/237 and A/ Res/69/16 of the United Nations General Assembly in respect of the International Decade for People of African Descent and the Programme of Action therefor; in particular those of paragraph 4 of UN Resolution A/Res/69/16. The ABR is therefore geared towards meeting objectives of National Development through the implementation of business initiatives that will help to grow the Guyana economy using a variety of strategies, including the sustainable development of Guyanese of African descent in the business sector.
